I myself had expected a higher margin with Fritz6a against both
Tiger and Gambit mainly based on results posted at the beta forum
where someone had played over 100 games between each program at
5/0 and posted the score. I don't doubt for a minute those results
were true but in the games I ran these were the results.

Fritz 6a has scored significantly better in it's match with Shredder
which allowed it to close the gap.

My own opinion is that both Tiger 13.0 and Gambit 1.0 will beat Fritz 6a
in the SSDF testing when it takes place. IMO the difference may be 20?
anyones best guess.

Superior to Fritz 6a is a tough term as if it simply means will end up
having a higher SSDF rating then I believe that's true. If superior means
beating Fritz 6a by 50+ I doubt that will happen.

Personally at these time controls I don't really feel the results can be
taken too seriously as 40 games of 5 3 are only equal to probably 2 tournament
time control games.

This blitz will shortly be over once I get the winboard interface to autoplay,
then will start the 40/40 where I probably will run 10 games between all. That
will give a better idea.

Sarah.
