Obviously you are mixing up handhelds PCs in general and the Palm.
The Palm, running PalmOS, has some annoying limitations. However it is a
wonderful computer.
The guy I have answered to was talking about ChessGenius, so for me it is
obvious he is talking about Palm computers running PalmOS.

There have been over 9 millions Palms sold over the world.
The Palm with a DragonBall (=68000 @16MHz or a little bit more) processor is
currently the best selling handheld computer. Far ahead of the Microsoft WinCE
and PocketPC bullshit.
I have a PalmIIIx, and I have purchased ChessGenius for Palm.
You don't know the handheld market, so I'm wondering why you are jumping into
this thread.
