It is very hard to port a chess program for the Palm. I mean the PALM, that is
the computers running PalmOS.
You have a 16 bits processor on the Palms (a 68000), and the OS itself imposes
serious limitations on the size of the program and the data it can use.
To put it simply: the engine has to fit in 32K, and the Data+Stack in another
32K (if you have a recent PalmOS, on older versions it was limited to 12K).
Crafty is the worst possible choice for a Palm. I doubt it is even possible to
port it.
