David,

Writing as a lurker here for a little while I would like to express my sympathy
with you. Perfectly well written, non-rude, well-argued or even polite requests
which are seen as even marginally critical of certain people here are routinely
met with summary rudeness as if this was the most natural response in the world.
Once the rude lead has been given there is then a tendency for a mob with
unknown names and common agenda to then jump all over the original posting
'offender' as if it entirely natural, their right and they 'own the place'. With
observation over time it appears that posters capable of making knowledgeable
posts just leave, or restrict their posting to the occasional hostile complaint
or flame. Slowly the whole thing just degenerates. Time for a new forum or
return to rgcc. This one doesn't work anymore.

Kind regards,

Derek Bingley (2100 Rating)
