I would agree with Uri on this, Hsu made it clear that he could develop a newer
version of the chip with funding that would be guaranteed by sponsors *if*
Kasparov agreed to a rematch. Kasparov said "build the machine first",
effectively destroying the possibility to do so since the sponsorship would have
to come first, and that depended on Kasparov's agreement.

In his comments during today's game, Mig mentioned that BrainGames had lined up
a computer to play a match against the winner of Kasparov - Kramnik. Sounds
rather tantalizing. Unless it's going to be Junior or Fritz on big hardware
again, I doubt they are up to the task of winning a 40/2 match against the human
champ just yet, but who knows. Since DB already defeated the human champ once,
perhaps there is nothing left in the supercomputer vs. man game in terms of
public interest or sponsorship, so it's now a matter of seeing when the top
programs on big-but-commercial hardware can do the same.
