We had a Canadian poster who tried to wreck the board a couple of years ago. He signed on using multiple accounts in order to agree with his own arguments and make it look like he had more support than he did. He had dozens of accounts, and for a while he was in position to fix the moderator elections if that was his goal. He attacked the board for months and made a lot of people miserable. Bob thinks it could be him. I think it's probably not him. A lot of weird stuff happens here, and much of it can be traced to one or two obsessive people who come around here using aliases. It sounds too weird to believe that there are people with so little going on that they derive a lot of their enjoyment from trying to dick a computer chess discussion board, but it is true. It has been going on so long and so much that people are very trigger happy about it, and just because you commented about this, there are probably a few people who are suspicious of you, especially since you use the same ISP as our other Canadian friend. bruce
