WinBoard engines under CB doesn't show the number of tbhits. There's a
difference between WinBoard engines and native engines in that regard. As long
as the the tbpath is correct in the .res file then everything should work just
fine. Remember to untick tablebases under CB, because Gandalf handles that.
Watching the harddrive or using testpositions should prove that the tablebases
are accessed.

The tablebase cache is handled through the .res file as well. Setting hash at
128Mb should suffice for maximum hash AFAIK. So everything tablebase related is
handled by Gandalf and normal 16, 32, 64 and 128Mb increments for hash should
work too.
