Yes, Garry is the strongest chessplayer in the history of the game. He
reigned in a time of fast travel, fast data bases. Earlier players may
have had just a much natural talent, but not the resources. Someone said
he's going through a custody battle, and I know from personal experience
how emotional stress can affect playing strength.
Garry is far from finished yet, but past his peak. BTW, we're a little
off topic here...
