The chance that such a page while being filled out and sent is intercepted - and info is misused, is there, yet neglectable. I'm more interested in being sure the server on which the info is stored is safe for the outside world. Now - and in the future. As an ADSL-user 24 hours online none of my outbound e-mails ever was intercepted and info misused, yet every day I've got at least 3 script kiddies and the like knocking at my PC-door looking for trojans and open ports they could be listening at -trying to make havoc on my PC.
