You mean by reinstalling it over the current >installation, I assume? > > > Christophe No some ( most ) Windows 98 cd's when put in and run in the Windows environment, should ask you to install Windows again, select yes, and the next screen asks if you would like to Repair Windows, or Re-Install Windows. Choose the repair. This sets all the dll;s and correct directory fuctions back to when they were first installed, or first modified. Mine does this, and so does my neighbours... easy as pie, and _usually_ fixes what could be wrong.
