With a little luck, LambChop had a nice result in CCT2 but LambChop didn't have all the luck! Round 3, black vs StormX and LambChop manages to get out of book in a main line Queens Gambit Accepted - one of the worst openings to be out of book in :-) An interesting position occurred: [D]2kr1b1r/ppp1qppp/5n2/3Pn3/2p5/2N1BB2/PP3PPP/R2Q1RK1 w - - LambChop just played Ne5, which allows Bxa7! Of course Chop thought it was trapping the Bishop but after Bxa7 b6 a4 things start to get pretty nasty and Chop lost in a screaming heap. So, how long do programs take to play Bxa7? I'm guessing that StormX doesn't have the trapped B code? Or maybe it has exceptions coded, or just a good king safety eval? Game vs Nimzo was a bit of a disaster too as LambChop refused to castle for some reason and paid the price. On the other hand, it played nice attacking games vs Arasan and Diep. Game vs Shredder was interesting, Chop was doing fine on black side of a Ruy then it decided to give Shredder a chance by throwing it k-side pawns forward. Shredder did a nice exchange sac that was probably winning but Chop managed to exchange to a drawn pawn down ending. cheers, Peter
