I analyzed this one, and it was one tough game.  We both made some dubious early
moves, but from the middlegame on it was pretty well fought.  The action
centered around black's passed pawn on d4.  I think an option that neither
program considered was to bring the kings into play, but both sides kept the
kings as far away as possible; I guess too many pieces still active.

This was a tough one to lose, since I had a positive score during the main
battle.  After exchanging off the pieces, though, there wasn't much way to push
or defend the pawn.  Tinker played some really good moves, good game.

You're definitely right about the level of play improving this time.  The
programs are better, so was the hardware.
