Do not be be so obviously condescending saying that, sometimes, on emotional
ground, you feel also that there is a real world behind our worlds. This is not
a matter of emotions. In fact, the human constructed worlds are probably a lot
more constructed on the ground of emotion. The entire world of magic in
traditional tribal societies is based on it. I think that the kind of relativism
that your man has developed has gone beyond what was scientifically and
philosophically neccesary to counter a naive vision of the kind of Newton or
Descartes. This, the all thing going from one extreme to another, is also a part
of scientific dynamics. Each time one extreme of thought is reached, the
supporters of it thinks they finnaly discovered the truth and unmasked the error
hidden in the other extreme. The errors they did discover, the Truth maybe not.
Of course still can be said that from the point of view of a dolphin, the world
is not even subjected to the same phisical laws as we think it is. We could say
that even the matter as we perceive is is a construct. Maybe. But as much as we
are human being gifted with these kind of perceptive organs and non others, this
world as seen trought them and the measures with modeling devices as maths and
logic that we use over that perceppts are the real world that matters. Maybe it
is different in a supposed fith ddimension? Maybe, but it is not our concern.
Respect Gambit, I will see how much new or paradigmatic is when I have it in my
hands. Call it relativistic objetivity.... For now I believe the only one
capable of saying something sensible about that is Theron.

Fernando
