We should bear in mind that _any_ approach to _any_ scientific endeavour is
_theory-laden_, meaning that it is next to impossible to start out from scratch
as we always impregnate our ideas with some theoretical expectations, without
actually being aware of it. Therefore it is very difficult to create a new
paradigm, unless science is non-cumulative, progressing in leaps and bounds and
regressing just as quickly. On the other hand, if it _is_ cumulative, then
there is nothing radically new under the sun.

I see no particular reason for great commotion in the afore discussed case. If
you guys want to read a mind opening essay on the (non)continuity of science,
dig out an oldie by Paul Feyerabend, the book called _Against Method_.

Oh, before I forget: hello and goodbye, Chris, Joe, Derek, whatever.
