Sorry, forgot one comment: Mattel no longer owns the company that made Chessmaster. What USED to be called Mattel Interactive is now owned by Gores Technologies Group and is currently considering their new name. Also, you should know that Mattel had absolutely ZERO influence on Chessmaster 8000. They had far bigger things to worry about than the only entertainment title that consistently made a profit. Mattel's quality assurance had only a few comments about a week before the product shipped, and the MAIN one was that one of the exercises (KBN v K) could not be solved. Obviously, they were incorrect and were told so. Other than that, they had no effect on the development of the program. jm
