They are envious of each other regarding different issues and especially different values. In many ways America has become, or have been for a while, the new paradigm of the world :o), where Europe is considered to be the old. Some aren't to thrilled about that development, which results in strange behaviour by some as exhibited by TC. However, in this case the old paradigm contains values that are essential, so there's nothing to worry about. Most of the nation bashing comes from ignorance, envy and fear. Mogens.
