Otherwise we could have a thread based on an altered post, which could ugly, if not illegal somehow. Problem #2: You would need to "freeze" the original post while editing it, so that nobody could reply while you are editing. Problem #3: Some people would already have read the original post, and they would not know that it was in error and that it had been corrected. Under the current system (a follow-up post by the original author), they would see the follow-up post. All in all, this is very tricky. Mark
