right.
i am for variety. i like the multi-culti.
i am against microsoft because they kill all other companies with unfair
and to a certain point - illegal actions.
i am against chessbase because they have a monopol too.
somehow the american culture is a very aggressive virus-infection,
like an pc-virus. In opposite to e.g. the russian culture, the american
culture invades other countries. they make anything the same.
everywhere mc_donalds, everywhere coke, everywhere microsoft and
walt disney and ketchup.
but the other countries and the variety of specific cultures have so much to
give. here in europe, we live in very small countries. and each country
has a special behaviour. and a different culture. and in each part of
the small countries, there is another variety of cultures. and in the small
parts there live many different people.
this is what i like.
spock calls it (in the german translation) UMUK, how is it in
english ?

i like e.g. travelling to netherlands. when there was the aegon tournament e.g.
netherland is very small in relation to germany. if you travel into it, the
first thing (from my subjective point of view as a german) i register
is that the way they drive on their motorways is completely different
to the german way. the germans give speed. almost full speed. and when there
comes something in their way, they use the brakes.
then, the germans, give again full speed. so this is stop and go. stop and go.
the faster ones drive stop and go on the left track, the slower ones drive
stop and go on the right track. nobody lets you from the slow track onto the
fast track, because they know: i will have to slow down.

in netherlands they have a speed-limit. and also they drive like a river.
everything is fluently. you can change the tracks. its completely different.
and the difference continues. everything there is very little. they have small
houses. small traffic-signs. then you feel that the people are more open to
different races and different point of views than the germans.
they are not that narrow.
they are really cool people. you can also see this when walking through their
little towns. walking through den haag e.g. is really nice.
the next thing is: they drive on bikes. you see so many nice girls on bikes
in the summer. i could sit the whole day on those "grachten" (small channels)
and watch the girls , cause the netherland girls have nice legs. of course they
have, all the day they drive those bikes !! the society there is multi-cultural.
this seems the result of old colonial-politics.
the dutch people are cool bruce. and it is nice to see them beeing completely
different than the germans. if any country arround germany would be the
same like germany, i would instantly commit suicide :-))
it is the difference that makes fun. to go into a foreign country and eat
what they like to eat their ! the mc_donalds idea and the american invading
every country destroys this typical cultural things. i don't want to drive
to paris to eat at mc_donalds. i have mc_donalds here in any town.
when i am in paris i like the french culture. the french guys are so
unbelievable different than the germans. they don't care about technic e.g.
do you remember the AMD guy in paris ? he was unable supply enough AMD machines.
french are no technic fetichists. they like to eat and they love girls.
for the germans e.g. a car is a holy thing. don't ever touch a german car.
the driver will kill you. his car is more important than his wife.
he would love to sleep in the car instead in the living room, if this stops
any person to come near to his car over night.
germans clean their cars like hell. they don't use them. they make a kind of
holy-pilgrimage when they drive with it.
and now the french guys. for them a car is something to USE like a part of the
cloth. if it is broken, they buy another one.
when a german drives to france, he is almost any minute shortly before a
heartstroke. because the french guys do not treat his car like something holy,
but like an old pullover. they touch his car. they even bump in it when they
want to park in front of him or behind the german.
isn't that completely funny ? all the different cultural stuff ?
the germans e.g. like cars that have almost no suspension. the germans like
to feel the street. since ralf schumacher they all want to be little car-pilots.
french people don't see the car as a rocket, they want to drive convinient.
therefore french cars are very springy, they have a good suspension.

i have seen something in paris (you remember, championship).
a french guy comes with his car to a street-cross-point (how is the right name,
where 2 streets cross each other).
he walks out of the car. behind him mans other cars have to wait.
the door of the car is OPEN !! he walks into a cafe and gets a nespaper, drinks
a coffee (or whatever - i can only guess) takes a baguette and, meanwhile
outside the hell happens, all other people behind his car are on the street,
he send these people a few little wishes, jumps into his car, and drives away.
unbelievable ! a german would never do this. germans follow the german law.
always. even when the traffic light is out, germans wait for the signal !
i have seen people (germans) die behind a broken traffic-light. they wait
until the light gets green, they will not drive over it when it is red.

no - what we need is variety. if anything is the same, its boring.
not ONE chess program but many many different chess programs.

ed is right.
i don't like monopols.
