Could you give a short description where this option is set (Win98 or Me)? I'd
like to check if I have it turned OFF - but I don't know at the moment where I
can see that (I would have looked into the help docs, but I cannot search for
drive sharing because my version is german).

In the network settings I found two options for file- and printer access, but
not for drive access. These are unchecked.

I use Windows Me, and a dial up internet connection with a modem.
