I'm not American, fairly neutral with regard to the U.S., and fail to see what's so remarkable about this election incident that some people feel they have to gloat over all things American. I think it was the media's fault for declaring a winner so soon. It was a mistake, and with any luck they'll not jump to conclusions like that again. As for the voting, it so happens that the Florida vote was close AND will decide who wins it. It's just bad luck that both these combinations occurred together. There must have been many spoilt ballots all over the country (and in other countries as well, whenever they hold elections), but they haven't mattered because the result was already clear. I really don't see what the fuss is about. People who gloat so easily over others usually have some secret envy. I believe it's called "sour grapes". Mike.
