You must not pick the "bad results" you must pick the bad and good results and
look all results. I have the results from over 1.000 games from different people
on faster hardware. I think with 40 moves in 40 minutes is Fritz 30-50 ELO
stronger then Gandalf 4.32f. I don“t know how strong is Gandalf with 40 moves in
120 minutes on a fast system. I believe Fritz is 0-30 ELO stronger !

The ELO list in my webpage is at the moment not very good, not enough games and
I can not believe that Gandalf is 30 stronger then Fritz !

But I am sure, this program played a fantistic attack chess and is for analyses
with longer time controls the best program which I saw !

Gandalf has no big problems against SOS and LGoliath on a fast system (55-60%).
But against Junior, Crafty and ... Ikarus when I look in the results from other
people and in my results.

Gandalf 4.32f - WB SOS 7.0 : 1.0 (CCE result)
Gandalf 4.32f - CB SOS 13.5 : 8.5 (40 moves in 40 minutes, ponder = on)

Gandalf 4.32f - WB LGoliath 2.8 21.5 : 14.5 (40 moves in 40 minutes on
a Celeron 533 without ponder) !

Gandalf 4.32f - WB LGoliath 2.9a 6.5 : 4.5 (40 moves in 40 minutes on
a Dual Celeron 500 MHz) !

Gandalf 4.32f - CB LGoliath YT 7.5 : 2.5 (Autoplayer with tournament
time 40 moves in 120 minutes, Pentium III 900 for Gandalf and Athlon 1 GHz
for LGoliath)

But on my machine against Ikarus ...
at the moment
Gandalf 4.32f - Ikarus 0.18 4.5 : 7.5 !!

The SSDF machines are very slow. An AMD K6-2 450 MHz is not good for Gandalf and
this processor standard is 2 years old ! When you buy at the moment a normaly PC
you get a PC with 800 MHz or 1 GHz ! Results on an actual hardware are more
accurate and ... better for Gandalf ... ! But this is the old SSDF problem. The
results from the SSDF are OK, maybe I think Gandalf is 20-30 ELO stronger on an
AMD K6-2 450 MHz !

We will see :-)

You can find a lot of Gandalf 4.32f games from different people with longer time
controls on fast systems, see my News Ticker !

Best
Frank
