There are several programs written in qbasic, mine included which I think plays
about 1600. I found it a very easy language to program in and easy to debug.
You will be able to compile it with QuickBasic 4.5 if you want faster speed, but
if speed is the main goal, the "c" is preferred language. Not as easy to learn,
but fast just the same.
And to the writer who said write it in Fortran, I have the source code for one
written in that too, it just does not play very well. Not the Language's fault,
just the skills of the writer.
If you go for it, let me know about our outcome, sucess, etc.
Good luck
Bill
