I'm glad to see that there is still some interest in Virtual Chess, as this is one of the underrated programs IMO (a typical case of a program that doesn't appear on the SSDF list). Im my testsuite, the previous version (Virtual Chess for Windows) did better than the No. II version. It found 35 solutions from 40, while the follow up version found only 30. The test result was 65 points better, which is nearly a big difference than speed doubling would bring in my test (75+). So, I can encourage everyone who has this older version, still to use it too. On the other hand, these tests were on PII/333 which is a little outdated by now, and do not include all aspects, i.e. the opening book. Regards, M.Scheidl
