Subject: A litle retro futurism, Gambit and Chess Tiger as Rebel engines!?

After playing around with the new Rebel 11 package, which I by the way find to
be exelent value, I have come to a conlusion that the best interface in the
package is the Century 3.0 Dos interface!! Even if the graphic is not that hot,
I feel that the configurability makes it possible to set up just the right info
for my needs.
Analyzing games: Put in every info possible. Playing games: Make a clean setup
with only board, move list and player names. Of course you also configure Tiger,
but everything feels a bit clumsy, at least compared to the CB interfaces for
Windows. I find it the old Rebel interface more pleasing than the looks of
windows Tiger. Perhaps its just the ugly chess pieces in Tiger thats makes me
feel this way. Anyway I like the feeling of comming back to the days when PC and
computers where a new and great experience! (OK, sometimes its great to have the
high res etc. in the Windows interface.)
Anyway, why not give us the best of both worlds with the Tiger engines in the
Rebel interface as well!

PS! I find that both Gambit Tiger and Rebel are great fun to play with, and are
very strong chess engines indeed. Chess Tiger on the other hand is probably the
strongest engine in the package, but the playing style feels very dry, on the
border of boring, at least compared to the others!
