This means that the security check (to see if The King is running outside of Chessmaster) failed, and this is how the engine responds in that case. Are you trying to use The King in WinBoard? If so, this is what is going to happen. If not, what version of Windows are you running? Jason Williamson's problems have to do with command line parameters supposedly not working properly, and the development team is looking into this. jm
