It crashes for me when I try to open a folder using the explorer type window, before even trying to open a CB file. Have sent details to CB info. No problem using file-->open method. Also, an interesting sidelight: I have a 1.3 million game database starting with CB's Big 99 1.1 million game database. Periodically I add games from various sources, mostly TWIC, and every now and then eliminate doubles, followed by delete doubles. No problem in CB7 - I also do backups regularly on Jazz 2 Gig drive. First time I did this in CB8 and tried to physically delete doubles it went thru the integrity check program and found hundreds of games to delete numbered below 1.1 million, that is from the Big 99 part of the database. The integrity program is, if I remember correctly, 1.2 dated 8/00. Then the integrity program said it could not reorganize my database. I tried to run the integrity program on the Big 99 CD without changing database (can't change on CD) and it froze. Next I copied Bigg 99 to hard drive, deleted read only, and ran CB8 integrity check without changing, and got same result - hundreds of games in database to delete. I thought these CB databases were supposed to be clean????? And it was clean in CB7. I finally got CB8 integrity with changes to work on one of my backups and it eliminated hundreds (thousands?) of games from the first 1.1 base. Program does not give you count of faulty games it finds. Conclusion is that the new integrity program is finding a lot more faulty games, rightly or wrongly??? Anyone else have this problem?
