Yes in Windows 9x it also possible to put the priority to a lower value, but not in that way, you need a dedicated tool. I think wintop does it, other tool are SysInfo and Taskinfo, both shareware if I'm not wrong. I don't remember the web pages but you should find them at www.winfiles.com regards Franz
