Dear Thorsten,

The counties of the US that voted for Bush represent 130,000,000 people and
those for Gore only 100,000,000. The total land area for Bush is four times as
great as for Gore. Most of Gores popular vote was in California where he got
1,200,000 votes more than Bush. The rest of the United States in other words
voted preferentially for Bush since there are only 200,000 votes separating Gore
over Bush.

Picking votes in Democratic counties to bolster your Democratic vote count is
slimey politics. A total recount of all votes in the entire US is needed to be
fair but it would be too costly. In any case, I just wonder if the elected
president will fulfill all of his promises.
