I just checked both the TB directory and the Crafty source and downloaded both.
Crafty only seems to use tbdecode.h, and the tbindex.cpp (from 12/13/98) in the
TB directory (in tbgen.zip) does not include the "emd" string and does not
support the newer compressed format.
