I think that it is not the reason.

I bought chesstiger and I did not need to unistall something in order to install
it.

I do not plan to uninstall other programs like Fritz5,Junior5,Hiarcs7.32 or
Gandalf4.32 or chessmaster6000.
I also have some tablebases in the harddisk including all the tablebases in
hiarcs7.32 CD and some tablebases that I  generated like the KQR vs KR and I did
not plan to delete them.

I agree about it.
The only case when I am going to consider to unistall programs is in case that
there is a problem of space in the harddisk.
