If you see that Rebel-Tiger13 is not that good in swiss-tournament since it plays very solid and can give away half-points, and the only difficult opponent for DF and junior is Gambit-Tiger, but they gave Gambit-Tiger a machine that is on a 6th fast machine, they gave their best to fine-tune the tournament the way the FASTEST machines will make it. >Tiger13 has slightly worse hardware but it does not justify difference of more >than 1/2 point so I can say that Junior's result is clearly better than >Tiger13's result. pah - the way you talk about the programs is really funny. Rebel-Tiger13 is not good in swiss-tournaments, GAMBIT-Tiger is much stronger in such a field. and Gambit-Tiger got a slower hardware. That slow that even junior (who gets 50% against Gambit-Tiger, not more and not less) has better chances with 2x faster hardware. junior is 2x faster hardware, DF even 3.46 times faster hardware ! >It is not a proof that Junior6 is better and there are also tournaments when the >opposite happens(see chessfun's results) but the difference between tiger and >Fritz6a or Junior6 is not very big. considering that gambit-tiger gets 2-3.46 times slower hardware, junior and fritz are very lucky. with same hardware gambit-tiger would win the tournament.
