Go to the tab "Game" and then select "Set Up Personality" and then you will see
"Transposition Table". This Transposition Table is Chessmaster's way of saying
Hash Table. With the sliding lever you can adjust the "Transposition Table"
(Hash Table) up to a max of 128 MB. As for how much, I guess it depends on what
you have free. I don't think you should set it for all you have available.
Perhaps allowing two-thirds for HT would be a good choice. Also, I believe that
the time control may be quite relevant. Blitz or fast time controls may be hurt
by larger HT amounts. Perhaps an email to John Merlino would answer the "how
much" question. Meanwhile, I would assume a max of 4 MB for blitz and two-thirds
of available RAM for tournament time controls. However, these are only guesses
and if you want the absolute, definitive answer, then seek out John Merlino who
should be able to answer your question with knowledge from Johan the programmer
of the King engine.

Mel
