At first sight one could easily understand this -
and you gave Ed the respect, his work really deserves....
but :
sorry - the essence ain't logial ( to me....)
Because - IF there would have been no SCHRÖDER B.V. - working for years
+ years
on advantage in commercial programs, beginning with them Rebell,Polgar +
I can't remember all the names, starting on 65C02 with 5 MHZ.....leading
into REBEL
6 + 7 + 8 +......9 -
there would have never been the chance - to get a....DECADE 2.0 for
free.
Understand, what I'm tryin' to say ?
Schroeders company politics - and I ain't no relative of his...:-)
is really generous !
So, if all the - who knows - people would just download DECADE with a
smile on their face - supposingly smiling would end sooner or later,
'cause there'd be no Schroeder left in the buisness....to make profit -
he deserves - and keeping a heart for students or young dudes with
little money or so. ( DECADE....)
Because under these circumstances he can end his buisness - progs for
free might
be kind - and a hobby - they won't feed a family + employees - not to
forget.
MY opinion is - whilst respecting yours ...:
I don't need no free program - nowhere nearly in the entire buisness,
whereever,
I get things of high quality for free - why especially here ?
But - you, me, and all the other customers of Schroeder B.V.-who just
pay their fair price for this great product....in the end help those -
who CANNOT - by
several means - afford a full product, eventhough they'd love to.....
And this....makes ELVIS smile......

Keep on rockin'
