Technically, you are right, and so is Jeroen. In the direct ancestor post, bob
told him "You don't understand what is going on, so please keep your mouth shut
about it." That was pretty much the whole thing.

This could have been easily predicted. We have some posters who aren't perfect,
they are like cars that backfire every once in a while. Thorsten is an obvious
example. Bob is another one. Both of them write from upon emotion, and Bob's
particular problem is that he leaves himself open to counter-attack.

This is more like what Bob would have said, had he been playing postal-CCC and
not blitz-CCC.

I don't think "you know nothing about this" is a reason to stop a poster from
posting, at least not a regular one who has shown that he does know something
about something else, at least. The fact that it's off-topic and apt to start a
large and angry argument is a much better reason, and one we can probably agree
is enough reason for it not to be discussed here.

I voted for Bob (and many other people, not just three) as a moderator this time
knowing full well that this stuff would happen. I figured that if he was
willing to put up with abuse for six months in order to do a thankless and
unpaid job, I would happily put up with Bob for six months.

I would vote for you and Jeroen, too, and would love to have the opportunity.
