Subject: Quality source code

I began some years ago by studying the TSCP source code, and then I've followed
Crafty's development over the last two years, which have given me a lot of
valuable insight as well. Now I was wondering what I should read next.

I have read the sourcecode of some programs like phalanx, which to me is just
obscure and unstructured, no offence.

So can you name a few programs with sourcecode available, where it can be said
that the sourcecode is structured and good for learning? And possibly structured
differently than Crafty, just to get a fresh view?
