It's quite definite by now that the Tiger engines (G and R) don't use tablebases, but relies on hard coding (or is it hardcoding?). As an opposite the Lokasoft engine does use tablebases. And furthermore it's possible to use different types, eg. Thompson one week and Edwards the next. Variety is nice. But I agree it would be a good idea with a Tiger Decade engine that uses tablebases on Fridays, but refuses to partake in such an activity Saturday morning. A collector's item indeed. Mogens.
