How accurate is the result of the quiescence search? I think that the position at the end of the quiescence search is very unlikely and only the material score of this position is interesting. So I would think that it is better to take the positional score (excluding material score) of the position before the qsearch and then to add the material score that qsearch returns. Has someone tried this already? And if so, plays the program then better or worser? Rafael B. Andrist
