It never makes such stupid mistakes that you get embarassed. I mean as other programs on weakened levels that put its queen so it can be taken at once without compensation. On Rebels weakened levels you are not made fun of in that way. I have many chessprograms including Chessmaster 6000 and Fritz 6 and ChessTal. If I had to live with only one of my chessprograms left, it would be Century3, without question. I really love its interface also. It doesn't disturb me that it is not a Windows program. When I had Win95 Rebel could be unstable if I tried to play it against another chessprograms with help of alt-tab. But not with Win98. It seems that win98 makes Dos programs more stable than Win95. At least are Win98 and Rebel more comfortable with each others, also older Rebels. Indeed I am a little afraid that Ed will change the interface too much when (or if :)) he makes it to a Windows program. Most Windows program are very comfortable in many ways, and so are Tiger. But Rebel is much nicer for the eyes, at least my eyes. And the aesthetical is very important for me when I have fun with the chess programs. The president of Rebel´s fun club. Georg
