What is the rating of the chess programmers who are making chess software at about IM/GM level? Joel Benjamin is a GM who helped the Deeper Blue project 3 and a half years ago. The programmer could see a pattern in their software losses but they need not be master playing against their own program. The programmer can make a program that he himself can't beat it.
