I have done a little test with Shredders new feature "triple brain". I have posted it in a German forum some days before. Maybe its interesting here, too. Shredder 5-engine and SOS-engine did the BT 2630 test (30 tactical test positions; also on the CD) with 1min/move, P 200:(, 15MB hash each. Shredder 5 solved 17 positions, SOS solved 15 positions and the triple brain (after restart and "positional learning" off) 19 positions (also in 1min/move, of course). It was interesting to see that triple brain often choose a move from a engine while the other engine showed a better score for another move! Shredder logfile shows, if both single engines would have only 30 sec (like working under Triple brain), they would have solved only 16 (Shredder 5) and 13 (SOS) positions. Interesting first result for Triple brain. Of course many other tests will have to follow. Helmut
