It should have been played out, since black has to do some obvious stuff in order to win, and if black can't do that, it's a draw. There was a game at the WMCCC a few years ago that I felt the same way about. One side was up a piece, but there were only two pawns on the board, and they were a knight's jump apart on adjacent files. It was clear that the stronger side had to win the opponent's pawn in order to win the game. In these kinds of cases I think the programs should play on until this is accomplished. bruce
