The second half of my current WINCOMMS tourney (tournament time control: 40/120,20/60) started this weekend. While the first 9 rounds have been played using the Swiss pairing system the second half will be played in order to end up with a round robin tournament (reason: several programs entered lately the tournament, for example Tal 2.03, Gandalf 4.32, Yace 0.23), i.e. I will fill up the empty spots in the pairing table. I will look for an equal distribution of games with white/black for all programs. After nine rounds and some more games there is no big suprise: 1. Fritz 6a 8/10 2. Shredder 4 7/10 3. Chess Tiger 12.0e 6/9 4. Genius 6.5 5.5/9 5. Crafty 17.10 5.5/10 6. WBNimzo2000b 5/10 7. Gandalf 4.32 5/6 The result of Gandalf so far must be seen under the oppenents that it faced so far: no program from place 1-4. But anyway, a good result in my opinion. Also Yace 0.23 played good games and is now on place 11 with 4/6. The pgn File of the games is also updated.
