What is all this crap about democracy? If 50,000,000 voted for Gore and an almost equal number voted for Bush then the number of people out of 260,000,000 who voted for either one would only be less than 20% of the population of the USA. We in the USA believe in democratic principles but we live by the constitution. If, in the future, enough people bitch and whine then that Electoral College stipulation can be amended. It has been targeted for removal scores of times in the past and nobody got it removed. Hmm...Conspiracy??? When you vote a candidate into office do you think that he/she will always do the "will of the people"? No! He is your elected official. He/she will act in your best interest and we all know that is not always in "your best interest". Tim Frohlick
