Dear Tim,
Bush is the legal president (pending the results in court). He won the electoral
votes. (by the way I like the electoral votes process). But it is sad that you
have to become president contesting every recount (legal in Florida), and
running the clock, criticizing Florida's state supreme court , and then running
to the federal court when you don't have it your way,....etc,. Gore wants the
recount because he knows he has the votes. Bush does not want it because he
knows he'll lose. Gore really won Florida, that's why all the networks
pronounced Gore the winner early in the evening. Then Little brother Jeb (
George's little brother Jeb is Florida's Governor, for you all non americans
reading this...)call them (the netwoks)and said that that cannot be right and
the rest is history.....This is America and I was only expressing my opinion. I
dont want and I dont intend to change anybody's mind.
AT the end my friend Tim, I think G W Bush must feel like Kasparov. You remember
that time when he was playing against Judit Polgar. He touched the Knight and
then he denied it, and he ended up moving another piece. He ended up winning the
game ....but what did he lose in exchange? Sometimes winning is not everything.
You think Bush won it fair and square.... good for you. I totally
disagree....and that's OK too.
This is a chess forum, so this will be my last political post. Im going away for
vacations, only five days. Thank you moderators for allowing us, americans, to
express our non-chess feelings.
