A sophisticated marketing ploy? some people like dos programs better ,myself i like dos better because that is what i got used to first .i tolerate windows only because i have to .my view was always that they invented windows so that mentally challenged people would not be shut out .but if rebel could be run in a dos window then that should make the window people happy .i guess my reason for such negitive view towards windows is because it used to be that windows sucked up all the computer resorces .it left a sour taste in my mouth and i have never warmed up to it .you got to remember back then if you only had 4 meg ram and windows was sucking up 2 meg it would be like today you having 128 meg and windows sucking up 64 meg .also when you considder all i care about is how strong is a program . when i play a chess computer i dont need sound ,flashing lights ,pieces that turn into insects ect .pure hardcore chess the best the strongest windows , dos i dont really care that much .i think rebel is as strong as tiger i think they are both top notch .
