I guess you want to compare strength of the both chess engines against each other. It looks a bit like the discussion with/without opening book or tablebases. I think time management is one of the fundamentals of competitive chess, so if the fault is with the CM engine, that's an indication of its strenght (or, if you prefer, weakness). Maybe you should resort to letting both chess engines solve tactical and positional test suites to compare strenght. Jeroen ;-}
