Are the fast searchers better than slow in Blitz? > >Thanks that is not an easy question .nps does not mean very much from program to program . nps means alot more if you say hiarcs searches 23,000 nps on machine A and 345,000 nps on machine B .machine B will thump machine A more than likely .but if you say lg2000 searches 250,000 nps and hiarcs searches 25,000 nps there fore lg2000 will play better , you would be wrong .hiarcs although a slow searcher but plays great blitz .junior although a fast searcher is better at slow chess .so i cant say really anything as to which searchers are better at blitz fast searchers or slow .
