If you running NT, bring up the task manager, and you will see how much time each program take. On Win95/98, you can download wintop program, and it can also display how much cpu time each program taken. Sorry i don't have link for it, but you can download it from many download site, or send me a email if you can't find it. In your case, i think some programs have stolen time, even though you are not aware them. You can spot those program easily using the tools above. I found that scanner driver can take 5% of my P2-450 by doing nothing. and a dialog box can take 100% cpu time etc. Regards, Ren
