Subject: DEDICATED CHESS COMPUTERS

I realize that pc chess programs are far stronger then most dedicated
chess computers and cost far less money,however with the release of the
MEPHISTO ATLANTA and NOVAG SAPPHIRE 11 (both models i believe are rated
higher then 2400 uscf)i am surprised that there seems to be a complete
lack of interest in these or in any dedicated chess computers.there are
still some chess players around who like to play chess without being
attached to a personal computer.and  there are some players that play
chess while traveling or commmuting.the last review in the web chess
computer reports of a dedicated unit is 8/97!and i dont believe i have
ever seen a message about dedicated models posted here at all.anyone
interested in the topic of dedicated chess computers?
