Hi everybody !

I had 1.5 mil. game database in ChessBase format. I collected the games for more
then 4 years. It occupied around 1Gb space on the hard drive. I kept also the
other databases with 100 thousands games + in them. This morning I opened the
main database and found that there wasn't any games in it. All games
dissappeared overnight. I open the folder with all databases and couldn't find
the file which should have been 1 Gb. I searched everywhere but it was in vain.
I know 200% that I didn't delete the games because the other files of the main
database are still on the hard drive.
What can be the reason ? Had it something to do with the new ChessBase 8 ? Just
before that I installed the latest update. I still have both CB7 and Cb8 on my
PC. It is absolutely useless to write to Cbessbase. Some of you wrote that
ChessBase provided exelent service. I don't believe because they ignore any
other messages except those relevant to ordering of their products.
I would be happy to receive any advise from you in regard of this situatiuon.
Could the lost file be somewhere else on the hard drive ?
Thanks
Anatoli
